Home – (About Us)

Looking Glass Productions was founded in 2009 by Marc Moir. Looking Glass Productions is a professional Christian theatre company dedicated to the highest standard of plays and acting. We are committed to using drama as a tool for ministry, and providing people with clean and quality entertainment.
Our purpose is threefold:
1) To serve God through the medium of drama, by way of dramatic productions and training.
2) To provide quality, family friendly entertainment.
3) To give Christian actors and actresses an opportunity to hone their skills and use the gifts that God has given them.
Drama stirs our memories, probes our psyches and exposes our pain. It makes us laugh, it makes us cry, and most importantly, it makes us think. Live theatre is a powerful medium that many people enjoy. That said, things like pervasive coarse language and sexual themes can often be a turn off.
Our endeavor is to provide quality, family friendly entertainment, while not forsaking story. Some of our plays may deal with more mature themes, some plays may be secular, but it is our pledge that things like offensive language and explicit discussions or depictions of sexuality will have no place in any product that we put on the stage.
Usually people assume that because a play is “Christian” or being put on by a Christian company that it will be preachy, cheesy and amateurish. Sadly they are very often right. Looking Glass Productions strives to take the “cheese factor” out of Christian theatre. Good drama does not preach but rather it provides an opportunity for thought, personal reflection and allows people to come to their own conclusions. At LGP we strive to make sure that the product we put on the stage is every bit as professional as any mainstream theatre.
We hope to provide a medium for Christian actors to use their God-given skills without sacrificing their Christian principles, which is often an issue. We feel strongly about being able to give people the opportunities to use their gifts in professional shows.
Looking Glass Productions believes and adheres to the teachings of Scripture as found in the Holy Bible.
